Chachago Tanauan: A Milktea Brand that You Probably haven’t Tried but Should

I’ve heard that a few times from some of my closest friends. They’re legit milktea lovers so when they say that I should try it, I know that I should.

Imagine my excitement when I finally found out that Chachago – Tanauan is opening. I’m not alone in my excitement. Here are a few comments we got when we posted about it:

I finally got the chance to try it and now I know why it has a cult following. It may not be as splashy as a brand as compared to other milktea brands, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐭.

Chachago: Taiwan’s Most Famous Milktea

My expectations skyrocketed even more when I saw a sign in the store that Chachago is Taiwan’s most famous milktea. Yes, they have a strong presence in Taiwan. Actually, not just in Taiwan, but in other countries as well.

They have a few branches here in the Philippines and it’s some sort of a secret among legit milktea lovers. However, you can’t really keep a brand like this a secret, and more and more people are discovering and loving Chachago.

I tried 3 flavors (also included are the prices for the large):

Brown Sugar Milktea with Pearl (PHP 140)

This is their bestseller and I knew why the first sip. You’ll taste their legit milktea first before being hit with the goodness of brown sugar. The pearls are close-your-eyes-for-a-couple-of-seconds good. It’s soft with the right amount of chewiness at the same time.

Cacao with Ice Cream (PHP 140)

This one’s my fave! I like its flavor profile. The cacao is sweet with a little bit of natural bitter taste. Mix the drink together and that’s when the taste of the cacao with the ice cream hits you. I almost drank the whole thing with 2 huge sips!

California Mix Fruit Tea (PHP 140)

I don’t usually get fruit teas whenever I go to a milktea shop, but this, I’d get, especially when it’s hot out. It’s sweet and refreshing. I love how real fruits are used.

I also tried a couple of their snacks – the Curly Fries (PHP 75) and Taiwan Sausage (PHP 100 for 2 pcs). They’re good on their own, but taste even better when enjoyed with the milktea!
